For nearly two decades, Joe Mantegna has been a steadfast presence at the National Memorial Day Concert, co-hosting the event since 2006. His dedication to honoring America’s fallen heroes has made him a beloved figure in this annual tribute. However, in a surprising turn of events, Mantegna announced that he would not be co-hosting the 2025 National Memorial Day Concert due to a health issue.

In a heartfelt message shared on his social media, Mantegna explained that an ear-related health concern has grounded him, preventing him from flying to Washington, D.C., for the event. He expressed his deep regret and extended his gratitude to Esai Morales, who will be stepping in as co-host alongside Gary Sinise.

“Though I’m grounded and can’t fly this weekend due to an ear issue, my heart is very much with my dear friends @esai_morales and @garysiniseofficial as they lead this year’s Memorial Day concert to honor our fallen heroes,” Mantegna wrote.
