A tragedy struck Livingston County when one person dies after a crash in Geneseo, New York, leaving residents shaken and calling for urgent road safety improvements near the village’s most dangerous intersections.
The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office responded to a crash in the Town of Geneseo after a vehicle pulled into the path of an oncoming farm truck. Willard Beardsley, 84, of Dansville, was pronounced dead at the scene, while his wife, Mary Beardsley, 85, was later pronounced dead at Strong Memorial Hospital. Mary was driving at the time of the crash. The driver of the farm truck, a 56-year-old Geneseo resident, was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. WHEC.com
